hobby horse blog hop #15

Here are the rules:
Answer one or all of the prompts. Link back to Living a Dream's post. Visit other blogs. And don't forget to ask a question of everyone else!

1. Tell us about something you experienced which began with a countdown.
I count down to pretty much everything I do. I did a countdown to my wedding, graduation, going to see Wicked (!!) in July, horse shows. I am not sure why I do this, but I do!

2. Count....  What counts for you?  Or what do you count?
Things that count for me. . .honesty and humor. What do I count . . .a lot! I used to count to go to sleep at night, but I had to start at 1000. I count steps, days, minutes. Mostly just to keep my head occupied.

3. Down.... What is a downer for you and what strategies do you use to overcome a depressing situation?
I try not too let too many tings get me down and right now I can't pinpoint one thing to name. Usually, if I get upset or sad, I am over it pretty quickly. My coping strategies include biting my fingers and keeping active.

My question: Is there anyone you count on when it comes to important things in your life?

  1. My sister also counts everything! Steps, fence posts, kids, you name it, she counts it.

Who do I count on? My family and "my girls" - my best friends - for emotional support.

  2. I just notices your barefoot badge to the left. Love it! Estes has been barefoot since I bought her in 2009. Not only do I think her feetsies are happier, but so is my bank account :)

  3. I am a step counter, too! When I am tired and hiking, I will resort to counting steps, or if I'm riding a bike, I'll count each time I pedal.

I can always count on my Hubby. He is there for me, always. I think if push came to shove, I could also count on my brother. He has been great at going to bat for my sister, and if I were in trouble, I'm sure he'd do the same for me. My BFF in Michigan is also someone who would give me the last shirt off her back if she knew I was in need.

Great question and great answers! I'm glad you joined the hop!

  4. I count on my husband a lot. He is a great help around the barn.

How fun that you are counting down to Wicked. We saw it last year and enjoyed it a lot.
